Epcot Flower and Garden

So instead of going opening day to already busy Disney crowd, we went one day early. It rained all morning and our hope for warm Florida weather was windy and cold. We still enjoyed ourselves in the park walking around looking at the flowers and well designed topiary delights. Test track went down a few times which is typical on cold busy days. It was far Tuesday and everyone from New Orleans seemed to be there. We wore our brand new Mickey Mouse shoes and got the most compliments on them. It was a gray overcast day but we managed to get footage and pictures to share on YouTube for the next several weeks.  Bob Iger announces galaxy’s edge opening in both parks as well as the Disney Vault going to the plus.

The all star movie resort was adorable as we stayed in the Herbie love Bug Area. One observation that bothered me at Magic Kingdom was the fact that we paid for an awesome kids free getaway with magic bands at the ready.  We had extra magic hours and had planned to do several favorite rides we couldn’t get fast passes for but couldn’t due to long lines with people running to get to rides who were not resort people or AP folks to take advantage of this time. I recall very well during special party events people are ushered away unless they have a special bracelet which is only fair. Wait times showed low but were not in our experience ( yours may differ and that’s fine) but the cast members were overwhelmed with rudeness from people waiting to get magic bands scanned to get on the rides. We decided to forgo any rides and enjoy our views.

I did several cast compliments on social media with no reply like I used to get stating that they had received it. I guess technology is delayed but I would like to know if these cast members understand how appreciative we are. Overall the trip was wonderful and we ate at some amazing places. Artist Pointe was darling visually with good food and 1900 Park Fare was quaint and delicious. We met a lovely travel agent which we will podcast about later. Ugh now the long 11 hour drive home and Disney withdrawals begin.
